Be wary of the hidden attacks of electronic cigarettes on the health of teenagers

Electronic cigarettes, with their colorful colors, rich flavors, and stylish appearance, have successfully attracted the attention of teenagers, and many middle school students have started to smoke electronic cigarettes. However, strawberries, watermelons, mangoes, which smell like candy, are nicotine's "sugar coated bullets". Teenagers using electronic cigarettes not only develop dependence on nicotine, but may also cause respiratory diseases, cardiovascular problems, and even affect brain development.
Unscrupulous merchants are well versed in the psychology of teenagers, using their curiosity and adventurous mentality to lure them into trying to use drugs through various means. For example, disguising electronic cigarettes as toys, colorful body designs, marketing with different flavors, and even shaping smoking behavior into "trend symbols". Various factors jointly construct a false identity of "trend" and "personality", which quickly attracts the attention of many young people.
According to data, from 2024 to present, the proportion of complaints involving minors purchasing electronic cigarettes has reached 16%, with illegal sales ranking first with a high proportion of 31%. Minors have weak discernment ability and are prone to trying new things and following the crowd mentality. Fruit flavored electronic cigarettes have rich seasoning and toy shaped design, which can easily induce minors to have a desire to use them.
